Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track “Not Like Us” has officially dethroned a Spotify record once held by his rival, Drake.
According to ChartData, “Not Like Us” has now claimed the Spotify record for the biggest single-day streams of a hip-hop song, surpassing Drake and Lil Baby’s “Girls Like Girls.”
The diss track skyrocketed to No. 1 on the global Spotify chart, amassing a staggering 10.986 million streams in a single day.
This achievement marks another milestone for Lamar, setting a new record for the biggest streaming day for a hip-hop song in 2024, surpassing the previous record held by “Girls Like Girls” with 6.593 million daily streams.
The timing of Lamar’s record-breaking track coincides with the intense back-and-forth exchange between him and Drake over the weekend.
The heated rivalry took a serious turn when authorities confirmed an incident involving Drake’s bodyguard outside his Bridle Path mansion at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Toronto police are currently investigating the matter.
