Citizen TV is bidding adieu to Victoria Rubadiri, following an illustrious six-year journey.
Linus Kaikai, the Group Editorial Director of Royal Media Services (RMS), officially announced Rubadiri’s departure on April 28th, affectionately referring to her as a cornerstone of the network’s #SundayLive program.
Rubadiri’s remarkable tenure at Citizen TV was punctuated by her receipt of the esteemed Komla Dumor Award in 2020, a recognition shared by only a select few.
This accolade paved the way for Rubadiri’s temporary relocation to London for a three-month stint with the BBC.
Hailing as the second Kenyan to receive this honor, Rubadiri leaves behind a legacy of versatility and profound insight, having established herself as a prominent voice in East African journalism.
As Rubadiri embarks on her next chapter, she joins a distinguished roster of news anchors who have departed Citizen TV for new opportunities, including Waihiga Mwaura and Francis Gachuri.
