Rayvanny who is the first and only Tanzanian to win a BET Award took home the category for Best East Africa Male artist winning against Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones and Otile Brown, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Diamond Platnumz.
Zuchu, the most subscribed female artist in Africa on YouTube won in the category of Best East African female artist . She was up against Nandy, Maua Sama, Femi One, and Kenya’s Jovial.
The newly breakthrough artist signed to YBNL/Empire, Asake was announced Artist of the Year beating Burna Boy, Rema, Diamond Platnumz, Fally Ipupa, and more.
