Spotify’s EQUAL aims to combat gender disparity in the music industry by amplifying and celebrating the work of women creators around the world.
Spotify Equal Africa provides female artists with support and resources to grow their craft through multiple playlists.
Xenia Manasseh is February’s EQUAL Africa ambassador.
Xenia Manasseh boasts of hits such as ‘Lowkey’ and ‘See Me’. She joins Nigeria’s Yemi Alade wgo was Spotify’s Ambassador last month, Nikita Kering’, Muthoni Drummer Queen and Silvia Ssaru, who have all previously been named ambassadors of the Equal Africa programme.

The Kenyan R&B and Soul singer hit the music scene in 2019 and has since captivated fans with her vocals and lyrical talent.
The singer-songwriter released her debut EP Fallin’ Apart in 2019, and has also racked up an impressive CV of writing credits and features with other artists, including work on projects by Teyana Taylor, Sauti Sol, Mr Eazi, Tay Iwar and Burna Boy.
