Wizkid Mourns his Mother: “It Hurts Deeply”

Wizkid has recently expressed the profound pain he feels at the loss of his mother.

The Daddy Yo’ crooner has described it as the deepest pain he has ever experienced in his life.

Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, in London.

Following her passing, a candlelight procession in her honor was held, and it marked Wizkid’s first public appearance after a nearly month-long period of mourning and silence.

Wizkid was born in Surulere, Lagos, on July 26, 1990, and he grew up in a polygamous household with a Muslim father and a Christian mother.

His mother played a significant role in supporting his rapid ascent in the music industry.
