Zuchu’s latest music video for her single ‘Utaniua’ features Diamond Platnumz as the male lead.
The video premiered on YouTube on May 1, 2023 and quickly gained over a million views within 24 hours.
Less than a week after its release, the video had garnered almost 3 million views.
In the video, Diamond and Zuchu portray lovers whose relationship is threatened by Zuchu’s father, who has arranged a marriage for her with someone else.
In an interview with Wasafi FM, Diamond revealed that he did not charge anything for his role in the music video as he is the industry leader and Zuchu is one of the artists signed to his music label, Wasafi.
Diamond stated that it was his responsibility to contribute to the success of Zuchu’s new song, and featuring in the video was one way to make it go viral – which it did.
