Tyler Perry reportedly interested in acquiring majority ownership of BET

Reports suggest that Actor, Producer and entrepreneur -Tyler Perry is reportedly, interested in purchasing a controlling stake in BET Media Group, and is engaged in active discussions with the company’s parent organization, Paramount Global.

Tyler Perry already owns a minority stake in BET Media Group, which includes BET, VH1, BET Studios, and BET+.

He has also produced numerous projects for both BET and BET+ in the past. The reports indicate that Paramount Global has been considering selling the company, which is currently headed by CEO Scott Mills.

If the deal is successful, Paramount Global is expected to retain a minority stake and continue with existing commercial agreements.
