TikTok Expands Subscriptions to More Creators

TikTok is taking another step toward monetization for its creators by expanding its subscription feature beyond Live creators.

Originally launched in 2022 as a Twitch-like subscription model, the feature was initially available only to those who livestreamed on the platform.

Now, more non-Live creators can tap into this opportunity to engage their followers in new and exclusive ways.

As part of those ongoing efforts, earlier this year we announced plans to redesign and expand LIVE Subscription to make it available to non-LIVE creators.

Today, we’re excited to share that the updated Subscription feature is rolling out to eligible creators in select regions, with plans to expand to more markets in the coming weeks.

What’s New for Creators?

Subscription allows creators to offer their most engaged followers special access to exclusive perks, unique experiences and a members-only community for a monthly fee.

Building on the strong, authentic connections they’ve already established through their content, creators can use the feature to provide an exclusive space to enhance these relationships and encourage more meaningful engagement.

By offering premium experiences, creators can strengthen their community while also enhancing their growth on TikTok to increase their monthly revenue.

Creators can customize their Subscription packages to offer three different tiers, selecting benefits that best reflect their personal style and community needs.

🔹Private Communication Channels: Privileged access to various communication channels, including Sub Space, chats, comments, and messages, for direct interaction with their subscribers.

🔹Exclusive Content: Special videos, LIVEs, and notes that are only visible to subscribers.

🔹Community Identifiers: Unique stickers for use during LIVEs and evolving badges that appear next to subscribers’ names on their profiles and in comments, reflecting the creator’s distinct community identity.

🔹Customized Perks: Ready-made perks provided by TikTok, such as performance requests, Discord roles, shoutouts, and LIVE topics, or custom perks designed by the creator specifically for their community.
