Threads has extended its post-editing window from 5 to 15 minutes.
If fediverse sharing is enabled, posts will now appear on platforms like Mastodon after 15 minutes.
While this is shorter than X’s one-hour edit limit, which requires a subscription, Mastodon offers free unlimited post editing.
Additionally, Threads now lets users see followers and post likes from other fediverse servers.
The platform is also enhancing its API, allowing automatic fediverse sharing for posts, easier link attachments, real-time reply notifications and alt text options for images and videos.
