Nigerian music director and most sought after cinematographer TG Omori has shed light on his decision to stop directing music videos for singer Asake.

Their collaboration dates back to the hit track “Organize” in 2022, but eyebrows were raised when Asake chose to work with another director for his recent music videos.
During an interview on the Zero Conditions podcast, TG Omori clarified that there is no animosity between them.
He talked about his belief in giving people the freedom to explore new opportunities and directions.
He explained,

Even in relationships, people take breaks; it’s natural.
I believe we’ve accomplished a lot together, having worked on about 12 music videos.
Our relationship is still strong. In this business, you have to respect your client’s decisions.”

TG Omori expressed his support for artists who want to experiment with different creative minds.
He doesn’t want artists to feel obligated to work exclusively with him just because they have a history.
He also talked about his enduring connection with YBNL and Olamide, stating,

I have a deep bond with Olamide, and we go way back.
Olamide ensures that everyone gets their opportunity. Before I started working with him, he had collaborated with other directors and gave me a chance to showcase my talent.”
TG Omori emphasized that he holds no grudges and views Asake’s decision as a natural progression in the music industry.
Taking such decisions personally would be counterproductive, he emphasized.
