The code hints at a text prompt within the app, suggesting the capability for users to generate playlists based on their own inputs.
Messina noted,
It looks like you might soon have the ability to create ‘AI Playlists’ on Spotify by using custom prompts.
This option seems to be available within the Blend Genre.”
For those unfamiliar, Spotify’s Blend feature combines musical preferences of a user and their friend to create a shared playlist.
Spotify has not yet officially confirmed the introduction of this feature.
