Ugandan music artist Sheebah Karungi has asked people to stop attacking her over her choice of dressing.
In a recent interview with Rwanda’s Royal FM, the ‘Nkwatako’ hit maker has said that she dresses for her clients.
They pay me well, so I put in the effort to look how I am supposed to look. But then guess what? I am too much for the children, but guys are okay to do whatever they want,” she said.

I come on stage looking good for my clients”.

My music goes with my outfits because I intended to do that… because I am a sexy woman and I am not afraid to say it… I’m beautiful. I’m proud of myself and where I come from. I love my body and I want every woman to love their body, their shape and embrace it.” – Sheebah Karungi
She advised parents that it is not her responsibility to ‘raise’ their children, adding that when she goes for school performances , she dresses appropriately.
I wear knee-length dresses in secondary schools… I address appropriately, You can not just put me in a box… You have to do this because our children should not see you like that… I cannot bring up your children. These are your children, please. They just see me for thirty minutes on stage,”
