Ruger Addresses His Kenyan Lookalike, Expresses Support for His Performances.
In a recent interview with BBC Extra, Ruger took a moment to acknowledge his Kenyan doppelganger, known as ‘Ruger Wa Kayole,’ who has been emulating him in performances.
He clarified that he harbors no ill feelings towards ‘Ruger Wa Kayole’ for performing his songs at concerts.
Ruger sees it as a form of hustling and doesn’t take offense to the imitation.

I wish him well ooh! I’m happy for him, and he is making his piece. Everybody must eat.
When people were telling me that have you seen this?
I was just like the man is trying to hustle and he is actually promoting my songs in a way.
He is not making his own songs and saying it’s Ruger who made the songs, so, at the end of the day, they will go back and stream those songs, and that is the most important thing.
Abeg, everybody should calm down,”
Ruger
‘Ruger Wa Kayole’ has been making waves by imitating the original Ruger at various events in Kenya.
In a recent interview, the Kenyan lookalike made it clear that he is an ardent fan of the Nigerian singer, explaining that his admiration led him to take up dancing and performing Ruger’s songs.
He disclosed that he initially began as a dancer, but as comparisons to the original Ruger gained momentum, he decided to embrace it, garnering significant attention from fans in the process.
