Nigerian artist Rema has achieved a remarkable feat with his track ‘Calm Down,’ which features Selena Gomez.
The song has made history by becoming the first-ever track to spend an entire year on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.

Chart Data, a prominent American data collection company, confirmed this significant milestone on Monday.

The song has held the number one position on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart for an impressive 52 weeks.
Although it reached the third spot on the main chart, the Billboard Hot 100, ‘Calm Down’ managed to secure the number one spot on the Canadian Top Songs chart.

Beyond its Billboard success, the track has also etched its name in the Guinness World Record as the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart – the world’s first regional streaming chart.
This achievement was attained shortly after the song’s debut at No. 1 on the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022, upon its launch by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
The remix was released in September 2022. The YouTube video – Rema & Selena Collab – has over 600 Million views as at today, August 30th, 2023.
