Media personality Anita Nderu has spoken following the brutal killing of fashion desighner and stylist Edwin Chiloba.
Edwin Chiloba was found dead, his body stuffed in a metal box in Eldoret county.
Rights organizations and the general public are all convinced that the sad death of Edwin was linked to his sexuality.
Anita Nderu has condemned the brutal murder and called for the public to be educated about the LGBTQ community and what they are all about.
Shocked and in disbelief, Anita has also warned members of the community to watch their backs, be more careful.

How many more members of the LGBTQ+ community have to be murdered before Kenyans realize that your silence empowers the homophobic, it empowers them to act unlawfully and with impunity.
Refusing to address and legalize the rights of the community leaves room for all sorts of injustice to take place.
Anita Nderu

Refusing to educate yourselves or the public on what the LGBTQ+ community is really about leads to tons of misinformation spreading and allows for archaic thinking to influence decision making.

I am so worried for all my friends in the community, I can’t believe that I am even saying this but please watch your back, be careful, I pray for your safety, I pray for a more open minded society, I pray for justice to be served. I pray for each and every one of you.

Tributes on social media describe Edwin Chiloba as a kind, loving hearted human who did not deserve to die in such a cruel manner.
Words cannot even explain how we as a community are feeling right now. Another soul lost due to hate. You will be missed,” rights organisation galck+ posted on Twitter.
