According to state pathologist Johansen Oduor, LGBTQ activist, fashionista and model Edwin Chiloba passed away as a result of asphyxiation, a process in which one’s lack of oxygen, results in unconsciousness or dying.
In a press conference at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret, Oduor claimed that Chiloba suffocated because of coverings on his mouth and nose.
According to their investigation, Edwin passed away from asphyxia, which is brought on by suffocation, Oduor stated.
He had a piece of trouser tied around the nose and mouth. He had socks stuffed in his mouth. He had Cyanosis, when you look at his fingernails, they were bluish in colour which shows that he lacked oxygen when he died,”
Oduor stated that they were unable to locate any other wounds and added that additional samples had been taken to see whether he had perhaps been drugged prior to his death.
Chiloba’s eyes were not shelled out, he continued.
Oduor stated that the issuance of the comprehensive document depending on the examined materials might require three to four months to complete.
Chiloba’s corpse was discovered stashed in a metallic box .
It is believed that Chiloba died in the house, where he lived with Jacktone Odhiambo, a suspect in the killing, according to police document that was publicly disclosed by the courtroom in Eldoret, the hometown of Chiloba.
According to allegations, Jackton Odhiambo, Edwin’s boyfriend who has since confessed to killing Chiloba because of cheating on him – together with four other suspects helped move, load, and probably dump the metal box carrying Chiloba’s body from a car.
