In a series of transitions within the media industry, former Nation Media Group’s NTV journalist Ferdinand Omondi has decided to part ways with the BBC, just weeks after Waihiga Mwaura’s departure from Citizen TV to join the BBC.
While Ferdinand Omondi has not revealed the specific reason behind his departure from the prominent media platform, he has expressed his passion for storytelling and his anticipation for the next phase of his career.

"Today, I close this wonderful chapter of my life at the BBC after 8 years.
I have grown, I have learned, I have thrived.
I leave with a grateful heart and fond memories.
Storytelling is what I do best and I'm excited for what the universe has next for me on my plate.
My story continues" - Ferdinand Omondi.
Having commenced his media journey as an actor in the renowned high school drama series Tahidi High, Omondi transitioned into a sports reporter at Citizen TV, where he initially gained recognition.

Subsequently, he joined both KTN and NTV, where he served as a sports reporter from 2012 to 2014. Later, Omondi took on the role of a Coast Bureau reporter, expanding his expertise and coverage within the field.
The move by Omondi marks another notable shift among prominent journalists as they seek new opportunities and challenges in their careers.
