Prominent Nigerian radio journalist, Hamisu Danjibga, who had been missing for three days, has been found dead in the north-western Zamfara state.
Danjibga, known for his extensive reporting on insecurity in the region, worked for the Voice of Nigeria (VON).

His body was discovered in a pit behind his house, and the VON described his death as murder, alleging that he had been kidnapped by “terrorists.”
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and other media organizations have condemned his alleged killing.
Zamfara state Governor Dauda Lawal has called for an investigation into the incident.
Danjibga was widely respected by fellow journalists for his distinctive broadcast voice and his decades-long career as a reporter, BBC Reports.
