Miss Trudy has addressed rumors of an impending divorce from her Ghanaian YouTuber husband, Wode Maya, following speculation sparked by her candid comments in a recent interview.
She revealed struggles with adjusting to life in Ghana and the challenges of spending limited time together due to their demanding schedules.
The interview led to widespread rumors of a potential split, but Miss Trudy has clarified that she remains committed to her marriage and has no intentions of divorcing.
I want to grow old with Maya. I’m not trying to look anywhere else. God forbid. I don’t want to get divorced. When I was getting into marriage, I knew I wanted to be there until the end.
We are two different people from different cultures and we are learning from our mistakes.
When I say I am unhappy, there are so many things that happen in life. It doesn’t mean Maya is the cause of my unhappiness.
When I met him, I was so lost, then he showed me how to make money and create content.
In April 2023, Miss Trudy said that Wode saved her life, literally..
Before she met the Ghanaian content creator, Miss Trudy, a University graduate was working as a promotional saleswoman at a supermarket earning only Sh10,000 per month.
She did not thrive nor get a promotion, shockingly she was instead laid off.
Miss Trudy turned to YouTube to cope with her sad feelings, but her earnings from the platform’s monetization policy, were not sufficient.
She did not want to give up,
It was then that she received a message from Wode, inviting her to join him on a trip to Ethiopia.
It’s the best decision I ever made in my life because I booked my return ticket which cost Sh25,000, I met Wode Maya, and he just changed my life.”
The two got married in 2022.
