Mike Sonko has lamented how in the past, he has differed with his wife on the issue of how to raise their children, to a point he gave up. His daughters got pregnant while very young. Regardless, he said, he does not regret being a grandfather.
Sonko was commenting on issues about freedom and parents not following up or getting involved in their children’s lives just because they have turned 18 years old.
This was after Chiloba’s family denied he was an LGBTQ member. Chiloba’s family said he was a pastor.
Hi tabia ya kusema mtoto akifika 18years ni grown up and mature awachiwe freedom ya kufanya vile anataka is not a good idea.
I have personally differed with my own wife on several occasions over this until I gave up and the lesson we got my two daughters I had a lot of hope in got early pregnancies and eventually made me one of the youngest proud grandfathers in the country with four grand children two from each daughter which I don’t regret at all coz it’s nature and normal part of life.

Sonko has also said that children will grow up to become how they were raised.
But mjue hii lesson ya mtoto umleavyo ndivyo akuavyo is real and at some point its good for parents to be strict and monitor every activity our children (whether above 18 or below) are doing while away coz we sacrifice alot to raise them.
