Meta has announced an update to Threads, allowing users to create polls and incorporate GIFs directly from the post composer.
Instagram head, Adam Mosseri, also mentioned that the company is experimenting with view counts on Threads posts and pinned posts on profiles and replies.

These new features, demonstrated by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, are a welcomed addition, although they have been available on X (formerly Twitter) for a considerable amount of time.
Zuckerberg’s poll includes up to three options, each with a real-time countdown timer for users to vote.
To view the results, one must participate in the poll, and Threads will notify you once it concludes.
Pinned posts are already a common feature on X profiles, but Threads is enhancing this by allowing users to pin a reply to a post.
According to Mosseri, both the view counts and pins are currently being tested with a small group of users.
Since its launch in July, Threads has shown promising growth, Zuckerberg has said during a recent earnings call.
