Meta has denied reports suggesting it’s considering introducing ads to WhatsApp.
A recent Financial Times article had claimed that some teams within Meta were exploring the possibility of displaying ads in WhatsApp’s conversation lists.
According to the report by the Financial Times, WhatsApp was considering the introduction of ads within the chat app, aligning with Meta’s efforts to increase revenue.

WhatsApp has stated that they are neither testing nor working on this feature, nor do they have any plans for it.
While analysts have speculated about the potential monetization of WhatsApp, Meta has primarily focused on generating revenue through WhatsApp Business.
Currently, WhatsApp Business boasts over 200 million monthly active users.
