The music video, directed by Douglas Bernardt, set a new record for the most views on YouTube for any female hip-hop video of 2023, with 2.14 million views in its first 24 hours.
This achievement surpassed the views of other popular videos by artists like Doja Cat and Ice Spice.
The track received 1.04 million global Spotify streams within its first day as well.
“Cobra” is Megan Thee Stallion’s inaugural single under her independent music and entertainment venture, Hot Girl Productions, established after her legal settlement with 1501 Certified Entertainment.
