Mark Masai has been the topic of discussion since Kenyans found out about his firing from Nation Media Group owned Television station NTV.

Many have referred to him as a kind, professional media professional who will be greatly missed.

The news anchor is among many who have been affected by the ongoing retrenchment at Nation Media Group.

14 years of work for the Nairobi based media house has just come to an end.


Kevin Otiende, Managing Director at CALLA has spoken highly about the journalist, applauding him for even helping young journalists get jobs at NMG.

His name is Mark Masai. Mark is the most down-to-earth man I have ever met. He made us feel so comfortable despite our insecurities.

I know many people who Mark has helped get jobs in the media. Mark has been trending because one of Kenya’s top TV stations NTV has let go of him.

I know he will be back bigger and better, and offer him my unconditional support.
