Kenyans woke up to the sad news of the passing on of fashion designer, model and stylist Edwin Chiloba who is said to been killed and his remains put in a metallic box, dumped by an identified vehicle along the Kipenyo – Kaptinga road.
In what many have referred to as a hate crime, – Kenyans and others beyond continue to condemn his brutal killing.
Fellow LGBTQ+ member Makena Njeri has expressed her anger, sadness and disappointment.
She recounts the good memories she has shared with Edward. “He was light and love“, Makena has said.

You didn’t deserve that pain, you didn’t deserve to die. This is a hate crime it has homophobia written all over it and it sickens me that this is how we start this year. Yet another tragic loss for the queer community in Kenya , a country we should call home. I mourn you so hard my friend 😔,I will forever remember the moments we shared and the conversations we had.
You had so much love to share with the world Edwin. I am in pain, I am numb. I cry for your closest friends and family who experienced your love even closer may they find peace in this moment.
