Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” secured the coveted title of Song of the Year at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards on October 10th. Uzi now says that he wants to retire.
At the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards on October 10th, Lil Uzi Vert’s track “Just Wanna Rock” clinched the prestigious title of Song of the Year.
Unfortunately, he wants to retire and “live a normal life”.
He has occasionally mentioned retirement but his recent statement during a Tour performance in Chicago carries a weight of finality.
Addressing the audience with a mixture of anticipation and revelation, he disclosed,
I came to this conclusion not too long ago.

I was gonna, like, wait ’til later to say it, but, you know,
I’m dropping Luv Is Rage 3, and, you know
Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album.”
He continued,
Relax, it’s okay, After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I want to try to live a normal life.
Thank you for all your support and thank you for supporting me in my decision. I’ll make sure that I give it my all on Luv Is Rage 3 this time because we gotta keep the legacy going. Thank you.”
