Nigerian artist Khaid, also known as Sulaimon Abiola, has released a tribute song titled ‘Forever’ in memory of the late singer Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba.
Mohbad passed away in circumstances surrounded by controversy on September 12, 2023.
In ‘Forever’, Khaid expresses profound sorrow over the loss of Mohbad, plus the significant impact on the music community.
Khaid has further stated his intention to donate all proceeds from the song to Mohbad’s son, as a heartfelt gesture of support for the grieving family.
Recently, Mohbad’s mother expressed her belief that her son did not die a natural death. She stated,
He didn’t die a natural death; he was killed, Whoever killed my son, that person’s home will become troubled.
They will face war and curses.
The glory of the child in their home will diminish because of those who killed him and their sons.”
