A couple has been sentenced to a jail term of 6 months and a 20 000 shillings fine. The two are said to have been caught in a steamy session along Thika Road, in the middle of traffic.
The two had stopped the car in the middle of the road and police officers approached to find out why traffic was not moving.
The police officers interrupted the session and asked them to continue driving but the two were hostile and rude.
Enraged by the police request to drive away, the accused person began hurling insults at the officers who were armed and even reportedly dared them to open fire,” the prosecutor stated while reading the facts surrounding the case.
The motorist, whose name has been withheld, was slapped with the sentence by a Makadara Law court after she pleaded guilty to the charges of causing a disturbance and obstructing traffic near Thika Road Mall.
