Ice Spice has tapped Afrobeats star Rema for her latest single “Pretty Girl,” which dropped on Friday, October 13th.
This collaboration marks the first time Ice Spice – who has a Nigerian heritage through her father, has worked with the Nigerian Afro-rave singer.
Rema and Ice Spice are well-versed in collaborative efforts.
Rema’s remix of “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez reached No. 3 on the Hot 100 and dominated various Billboard charts, including U.S. Afrobeats, Adult Pop Airplay, Pop Airplay, Rhythmic Airplay, and World Digital Song Sales.
The track also secured the Best Afrobeats award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards just last month.
