Maureen Kunga, a member of the renowned music group Elani, recently revealed her successful weight loss journey, shedding 10 kilograms in just two months.
Taking to her social media page, Maureen shared her struggle with body weight during the pandemic period.
After facing difficulties in getting back to her active and healthier self post-lockdown, Maureen decided to undergo a gastric balloon surgery in February.
This procedure involves the insertion of a soft silicone balloon into the stomach, occupying space and naturally reducing appetite. It allows individuals to feel satisfied with smaller portions of food and helps in managing meal intake. The gastric balloon remains in the stomach for a period of six months.
Sharing her experience, Maureen expressed her satisfaction with the results of the procedure. She stated that she now finds it easier to control herself, something she had initially struggled with.
