Former President Uhuru Kenyatta turns 61 years today.

The fourth President of the Republic of Kenya’s tenure came to an end this year after he handed over power a few months ago to Hon. William Samoei Ruto.

Uhuru Kenyatta is married Margaret Gakuo Kenyatta in 1989/91 , the daughter of Njuguna Gakuo, the former director of the state-controlled Kenya Railways Corp. Together they have three children, Jomo Kenyatta, Ngina Kenyatta, and Jaba Kenyatta.

His name Uhuru is Swahili for “Freedom.”

He is fondly known on Twitter as Jayden.
