Premiering today, (Sept, 28th) is Showmax fantasy series ‘Blood Psalms’.
The series was announced in August accompanied by an action packed trailer. Blood Psalms is a co-production of Showmax and CANAL+.
Blood Psalms boasts a star-studded cast that includes the likes of S’dumo Mtshali, Thishiwe Ziqubu, Warren Masemola, Thando Thabethe, Sello Maake ka Ncube, Mothusi Magano, Zolisa Xaluva, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa and Zikhona Sodlaka.
One thing that was brilliant for us was no use of an English word, whatsoever,” says legendary actor Sello.
That was a big challenge, even for a lot of actors, you know, because most of the time we are used to performing and doing a mixture of African languages and English.

Storyline –In Ancient Africa, one thousand years after the fall of Atlantis, the five surviving houses of Kemet find themselves beset with fears of a prophesied end of days.
Blood Psalms premieres on Showmax today, with new episodes every Wednesday for 11 weeks.
