In God Kweru village, Suna West sub-county, Migori county, a man named Clinton Ouko has been arrested for allegedly abducting and hacking his three-year-old son following a dispute with his ex-wife.
The provincial administration, in collaboration with the police officers, responded to a tip-off and found the boy injured, with blood oozing from his head.
The suspect was still holding a panga with the intention to harm the boy further, but he was apprehended before carrying out his plan.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect kidnapped the boy from his ex-wife’s residence in Muhurubay, Nyatike Sub County, and then tortured him in God Kweru.
The boy is currently receiving medical attention at God Kweru health center and is in stable condition as he awaits further medical tests, Citizen Digital Reports.

A man lost his life after being run over by a train while lying on the Nairobi-Nanyuki railway in Thirigici, Kirinyaga County.
The deceased, identified as 38-year-old Alfred Migwi, was known to be mentally challenged, and his family revealed that he had been found lying on the railway line on several occasions before.
According to Leah Mwangi, one of the family members, Migwi had a habit of cooking along the railway line at night, and it was around 3 am when the unfortunate accident occurred.
The shocked residents from neighboring areas like Kibirigwi, Mururi-ini, Sagana, and Ndia expressed their surprise as this was the first such incident witnessed in the area.
Initially, some residents thought that Migwi might have been attempting suicide, but it was later clarified that he had a mental health condition.
The authorities, including Kirinyaga West Sub-County police commander Moses Koskei, are advising residents living near railway lines to be cautious and take care of family members with mental health challenges.
Migwi’s remains were taken to Karatina mortuary following the incident.
