Eric Omondi has never dodged away from fighting from advocating for more airplay of Kenyan music, better compensation and representation of Kenyan artists in events et cetera.
The comedian, ,has hinted that he is seeking the help of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to table a Bill before the National Assembly seeking to have all Kenyan media outlets play 75% of local music.
Omondi, taking to Instagram on Wednesday, revealed that he had met the vocal legislator to work on what he termed as “the last touches” of the Bill before it is tabled next week.
He shared on a post,
Today at Parliament buildings with Hon. Babu Owino working on the last touches for next week Tuesday. Next week Tuesday we will be tabling the Bill in Parliament officially. Its a Journey but we will get there. The MPs will pass the Bill and the President will sign it into Law. @he.babuowino

Eric has fought long for this, only time will tell whether his fight will bear any fruits. His criticism of Kenyan music and at the same time fight to have more airplay for the same & other benefits for artists is sometimes, well, a puzzle.
