Sean “Diddy” Combs has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution after months of sexual misconduct accusations.
He appeared before a judge today, Tuesday.
Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, insists his client is innocent and plans to fight for bail.
The charges allege a pattern of abuse by Combs, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of women
and claims he used his business to facilitate and cover up these acts.
The allegations state that Combs forced an unnamed victim into commercial sex acts and transported individuals for prostitution.
His lawyer criticized the prosecution as unjust,
We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
He is an imperfect person but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.
Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Combs has faced multiple lawsuits, including one from singer Cassie Ventura, accusing him of assault and abuse.
His properties were also raided by Homeland Security in March as part of a sex trafficking investigation.
Despite these claims, Combs and his legal team continue to assert his innocence.
