David Raya pulled off an incredible double save from a penalty as Arsenal drew 0-0 with Atalanta in their Champions League opener.
Raya first stopped Mateo Retegui’s spot-kick and then miraculously saved the striker’s follow-up header, preserving the clean sheet in an otherwise uneventful match.
Both teams had few chances, with Arsenal failing to record a shot between the 18th and 75th minute.
Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi made a similar double save, denying Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey.
The draw is seen as a solid result for Arsenal ahead of key Premier League fixtures.
Arsenal now turn their attention to Sunday’s crucial clash with title rivals Manchester City, as they aim to finally overcome Pep Guardiola’s team in the race for the Premier League title.
