KBC News anchor Cynthia Nyamai is mourning the death of her brother.
The veteran media personality’s older brother, a pilot – perished after a Tanzanian airplane plunged into Lake Victoria on Sunday.
When I saw the news this morning the Holy Spirit told me to prepare because someone close to me was in the crash. It’s been a tough day thinking through all our childhood memories until a few months ago. My family was praying that you will be on the survivor’s list . One more chance… Thank you for being like my big brother while growing up. This is a hard one but I know one day we will meet in heaven. That is my family’s comfort,”

The flight, including 39 passengers and four crew members, had taken off from Tanzania’s commercial capital of Dar es Salaam and crashed near the shore at the end of the Bukoba airport runway as it attempted to land in the lakeside town of Bukoba, killing at least 19 people.
The airline confirmed the death toll and amended the number of survivors down to 24 in an updated statement on Sunday evening.
Content creator Maureen Waititu also lost her younger sister last week. Davido also lost his 3 year old son to drowning last week.
