Citizen TV, has announced changes to its prime time lineup.
Yvonne Okwara-Matole and Sam Gituku, two senior anchors, will be taking on new roles in response to the departure of Waihiga Mwaura, who has moved to the BBC.

Yvonne Okwara, known for her straightforward approach to news anchoring, will now host a show called “The Explainer with Yvonne Okwara” every Tuesday at 9 PM. She currently hosts the “Tonight Show” on Thursdays at the same time. The new show aims to provide audiences with a deeper understanding of the news and its implications.

Replacing Yvonne Okwara in her previous time slot is Sam Gituku, who currently hosts the “DayBreak” show on Mondays and Tuesdays. His Thursday show will be renamed “Tonight with Sam Gituku.” Gituku’s strength lies in data journalism, and he will use this expertise to break down complex numbers and statistics.
