Bensoul caused controversy on Saturday when he posted a tweet that was seen as insensitive about the upcoming ‘Sol Fest,’ scheduled for November.
After the announcement of the KSH20 000 – VIP tickets, Bensoul responded to complaints about the high cost by suggesting that those who find it expensive should prepare and save money in advance.

He confidently claimed that the event would still sell out, regardless of the price. He insinuated that the event is not for ‘brokies’, adding that if by November you can’t afford to pay KSH 20 000, then there’s need to work harder.

Many Twitter users criticized Bensoul for his arrogance and insensitivity.
Some called him out for his attitude and asked him to be more considerate.
Bensoul, however, remained defiant and doubled down on his stance, stating that the “broke mentality needs to go.”
Kama 20k ya kuona Sauti Sol inakushinda by November, you have a long way to go. Wacha wenye pesa waende. One thing I know for sure is we are going to sell out.
This broke mentality needs to go!!
