The Kenyan music community remains in mourning following the untimely passing of DJ Babu, a celebrated Disc Jockey based in Dubai.
His life was tragically cut short in a devastating road accident, leaving a void in the hearts of music enthusiasts.
DJ Babu, also known as Robert Kinuthia, was laid to rest on Friday, August 11th, in Murang’a county.
The funeral service drew together a multitude of mourners, including Kriss Darling, DJ Pierra Makena, Amira, and numerous other figures from the entertainment industry.
With the launch of his DJ career in the late 2008, DJ Babu demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication that propelled him to success.
His journey was marked by consistent growth and achievement, which sadly came to an abrupt end with his passing in July 2023.
DJ Babu’s impact extended beyond his solo endeavors, as he collaborated extensively with various artists throughout his career.
Notable collaborations included Masauti, MC Teargas, Ssaru, MC Gogo, DJ Daffy, Khaligraph Jones, MC Guru, Sauti Sol, Mejja, Nyashinski, and Sauti Sol.
The Kenyan entertainment industry has undoubtedly suffered a great loss with the departure of DJ Babu.
His absence will be deeply felt by all who were touched by his music and his spirit.
