Cardi B has provided an exciting update regarding her upcoming album, venturing into other projects like cinema, and fashion – reassuring her eager fans that the wait for new music won’t be prolonged.
In an exclusive feature for Vogue Mexico, Cardi revealed that she is now shifting her focus away from collaborations and dedicating her energy to her individual musical endeavors.
I’m not going to release any more collaborations, I’m going to put out my next solo single.
Right now I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up,
She further emphasized her determination to expedite the process, mentioning,
Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now, they did when I released ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”
Cardi B also confirmed her aspirations to venture into diverse industries in the coming times. She expressed,
I also have plans in the world of cinema. In fact I have plans to do everything I can: fashion, branding, I want to do it all, honey.”
Cardi B’s last independent full-length album was the acclaimed “Invasion of Privacy” in 2018, which secured the prestigious Best Rap Album accolade at the GRAMMYs.
She recently released ‘Jealousy’, a collaboration with Offset.
