In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Faith Kipyegon has triumphed once again, clinching the gold medal in the women’s 5,000m race at the World Athletics Championship held in Budapest.

Crossing the finish line with a time of 14:53.88, Kipyegon demonstrated her exceptional middle-distance running prowess, securing her second gold medal of the competition.

The race was nothing short of intense, as Kipyegon engaged in a closely contested battle with reigning champion Sifan Hassan.
Kipyegon’s victory was hard-fought, as she managed to edge out Hassan, who recorded a time of 14:54.11.
Adding to Kenya’s glory, Beatrice Chebet, the World cross country champion, claimed the bronze medal with a time of 14:54.33.
The men’s race saw former under 20 standout Emmanuel Korir securing the second position, closely trailing behind Marco Arop from Canada.
