Musician-turned-politician Kevin Bahati Kioko known popularly in showbiz circles as just “Bahati” was seen in public for the first time on Sunday. This is a few days only after his Mathare parliamentary bid flopped.
He attended the birthday of his son Majesty Bahati who recently turned 3 years old.
The artist did not appear involved in the dancing and singing, unlike other attendees of the event – probably still reeling from his defeat. The birthday event was attended by close family and friends.
He was contesting for the Mathare MP seat on a Jubilee ticket, was trounced by the incumbent MP Anthony Oluoch of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Oluoch emerged victorious after garnering 28,098 votes. He was followed by activist Billian Ojiwa who got 16,912 votes while Bahati came in third with 8,166 votes.
